Dr. Dunk is the owner of Activate Chiropractic & Wellness Clinic and has been in practice for more than 20 years. She is one of a few specialists in Ottawa that practice a gentle chiropractic technique called the Activator Method. Her family-based practice regularly sees pregnant patients and children as well as adults wanting to continue to experience good physical health with age. Dr. Dunk grew up in a small rural community outside of Ottawa. She received a bachelors in Anatomy at McGill and graduated in the class of 1994 from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College.
Dr. Dunk has many other passions and interests in health and well being. She is an avid hiker, cyclist and runner but most of all, in the last few years, she has become more involved in yoga. She has studied many different styles of yoga and is certified to teach yoga at all levels. She's also a regular practitioner of meditation---the original form of yoga.
Dr. Dunk has been in practice for over 20 years and is still excited to provide a multi-disciplinary clinic where several practitioners can provide care that is tailored to each persons' needs.
Dr Chandan Brar joined the Activate Chiropractic & Wellness team in 2014. He relocated his practice from another clinic. Dr. Brar completed his bachelors at York University in Toronto in Kinesiology and Health Science. He then went on to do his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at the New Zealand College of Chiropractic. He is proud to practice what he preaches when it comes to health and well being. His many interests include the practice of yoga, meditation running, cycling, volunteerism and motivational speaking.
Many of his patients describe him as passionate, respectful, thorough and caring. Dr. Brar has a reputation for providing excellent patient care and for working alongside allied health professionals to insure that the patient is cared for thoroughly. From 2011 to 2016, Dr. Brar ran a pro-bono clinic once a week at the Aids Committee of Ottawa. He periodically volunteers for the Arthritis Society of Ottawa and speaks regularly at the Sunnyside Library on healthy eating and good posture. Dr. Brar is trained in several chiropractic and manual therapy techniques that allow him to serve his patients using a unique and tailored approach. We are proud to have Dr. Brar's talents on our health team. For more information go to www.drchandanbrar.com
